New Board - shrinking all the way

Been a while since an update...well MW3 did come out!!

So the prototype was quite big, so we have worked on a smaller board to make things eaiser to mount and more compact.

We also believe because of the programmability of the board that it should work with any controller / wheel. We will test this on a ps2 controller. Below is an image of how small the board has got

  1. Hi James
Just signed up to this blog as I've just discovered your project.
Excellent work , My paddles are bust also and have after viewing your efforts have decided to go down the modding route myself.
I will definitely be in the que to purchase the chip set when your up and running.
Could you supply specs for the rotarys which as compatable with the chip as it would help greatly with prepping the template for my effort?
    Great work btw

  2. Hi James i've followed your design from start and well impressed so thought i would have a bash myself as my paddle shift broke. Im good with designing soldering metal work all that guff, but haven't got a clue when it come to wires ( i can wire a plug thats it) lol. The price for the board is great so i would like to purchase one, Also do you send instructions or info with the board I.E. what wires are needed and where to solder these wires to board? i would be more than happy to pay extra for this information. I beleave f1 2012 is out in september so is it a simple task to programme the board if required for this game

  4. Hi James
This message is certainly going to be a bit "out of the blue" for as you have moved on from this project but I was hoping if I could botther you for some info on how to propoerly wire up the rotaries and buttons to the MS Wheel PCB?

I am very near completing my own project but have hit a roadblock in getting the MS wheel board to recognise the button presses from an Arduino Mega2560.

Basically I need to know the pin out of the MS Wheel PCB, where the grounds are and how to tie it all together with the micro controller.

Nat help would be great as you seem to be the only person on planet earth who has actually attempted this kind of MOD ;)

    Yours in hope Doc
